Decision of the Organizing Committee

We inform you that on the evening of May 25, the Organizing Committee held an emergency meeting with the management of the MLM team regarding their refusal to participate in the 2023 Grandliga Cup.

It should be noted that the withdrawal notice was received after the draw had already taken place, and efforts to resolve the incident had been ongoing for two days. MLM made a counter-proposal to cover 50% of the participation fee for another team (outside the top 16 by ranking). A replacement was not immediately found, but participation was offered to FC Social, a team known for its involvement in the Grandliga Futsal Premier Division during the 2022/23 season and earlier. FC Social accepted the invitation and will take MLM’s place in Group C.

After reviewing the reasons for the withdrawal and acknowledging the constructive communication with the MLM team management, the Organizing Committee made the following decisions:

  • The MLM team will be deprived of 50% of their prize fund in case they finish in a prize-winning position in the 2023 Grandliga Championship.

  • FC Social is officially admitted to participate in the Grandliga Mini-Football Cup (Euro Sixes), replacing MLM.
